Catherine Grégoire
Sexologist, Psychotherapist
Catherine Grégoire obtained a master's degree in sexology counseling in 2015 and has been a member of the Ordre professionnel des sexologues du Québec (Quebec Professional Order of Sexologists) since then. During her studies, she trained in two major therapeutic approaches that she applies in her practice. In individual follow-ups, she favors the cognitive-behavioral approach, also known as schema therapy, while in her work with couples, she tends to use the interactional-systemic approach.
These intervention methods allow her to treat a variety of relationship and sexual issues, including premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, sexual desire disorder, communication and intimacy problems within couples, marital conflicts, romantic disappointments, and more. She has also developed a particular interest in sexual difficulties related to illness and specific health conditions. She is particularly interested in the relational and sexual consequences of vulvovaginal disorders such as vestibulodynia, as well as the sexual difficulties experienced by people living with addiction.
