Ear Cleaning
A safe, fast, and effective service
Do you feel like your ears are blocked, have hearing loss, experience ringing, or have mild pain? Excess earwax could be the cause. Our professional ear cleaning service helps you regain comfort and clarity in a safe environment supervised by healthcare professionals.

What is earwax?
Also known as cerumen, earwax is a yellowish, waxy substance found naturally in the ear. It coats the ear canal and eardrum to lubricate and protect them from bacteria, fungi, and external elements (debris, dust, etc.). Although its presence is beneficial, for various reasons, it can accumulate in excessive amounts and/or not be properly removed from the ear canal. This is when a “plug” develops, causing discomfort, mild pain, and hearing or balance problems

Factors contributing to the formation of earwax plugs
- Inadequate ear cleaning: Contrary to popular belief, you should not clean your ear canal with cotton swabs (Q-Tips). This tends to push the earwax deeper into the ear and compact it.
- Earphones, hearing aids, and earplugs: In addition to pushing earwax deeper into the ear, these devices block the outer end of the ear canal, preventing earwax from draining naturally.
- Age: Over time, earwax becomes drier, making it more difficult to expel.
- Anatomical features: Some people have a narrower than normal external ear canal.
- Excessive hair: This can block the outside of the ear canal.
- Excessive earwax production.
When should you seek medical advice
for ear cleaning?
Earwax is a natural substance that protects the ear. However, excessive buildup can cause:
-  A feeling of fullness in the ear
-  Temporary hearing loss
-  Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
-  Dizziness or imbalance
-  Itching or discomfort
-  Mild pain or discomfort
If you experience these symptoms, an ear cleaning may be recommended.
How does the service work?
Our service is performed by qualified personnel in accordance with current standards:
Initial assessment: Examination of the ear using an otoscope to confirm the presence of earwax.
Preparation if necessary: In some cases, a softening agent may be recommended a few days before the cleaning.
Ear cleaning: Gentle and safe technique using warm water under controlled pressure, or a curette depending on the situation.
Post-treatment check: A second examination is carried out to ensure that the ear canal is clear and in good condition.
The whole procedure usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes.
