Men's Health
Men's health issues are numerous and sometimes underestimated. Mathieu Charron, our nurse practitioner specializing in primary care, holds a Bachelor of Nursing Integrated from McGill University (2016), a Master's degree in Nursing, and a specialized graduate diploma in primary care from the University of Sherbrooke (2020). He worked for five years in the emergency department at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital before pursuing his specialized studies. He then worked for three years at the CISSS de Laval, where he practiced with a diverse clientele in family medicine groups and in various long-term care facilities. Mathieu has been part of our team since 2021, but decided to make the leap to full-time with Humani in 2023. He is passionate about sports and has an interest in men's health.

Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction is defined as the inability to achieve or maintain an erection satisfactory for sexual intercourse. This disorder affects many men between the ages of 40 and 70 and can cause psychological distress in some of them.
Andropause
Andropause is a progressive decline in testosterone, the main male sex hormone, especially in men aged 40 and over. The prevalence of this disorder varies from 10 to 40% and is known to increase with age, with a more marked increase around the age of 45-50 (Anaissie et al., 2016).
