Minor Emergency Clinic
We all experience health concerns from time to time that, while not life-threatening or long-term, require medical attention. At times like these, it may be wise to consult a healthcare professional quickly in order to assess the problem and restore your quality of life. With this in mind, at the Humani Private Medical Clinic in Rosemère, we reserve several time slots each day for minor emergency consultations.

When should I go to the minor emergency clinic?
While nothing can replace routine follow-up with a family doctor, it is sometimes necessary to obtain a more targeted or rapid medical consultation. This may be to obtain professional advice on a less urgent but worrying condition, or to treat an infection or virus. In such cases, an appointment at a walk-in clinic is often the best option, unless it is a major situation requiring very rapid care. In that case, it is best to go to a hospital emergency room. Otherwise, our professionals will be happy to assist you.
Some reasons to request a minor emergency consultation
- When you don't have a family doctor or can't get an appointment quickly, and you have a condition that is worrying or bothersome (recurring pain, skin spot, unusual physical change, etc.).
- You are sick and/or have an infection or virus (urinary tract infection, sinusitis, respiratory tract infection, ear infection, cold, flu, etc.) or have persistent, uncomfortable symptoms (sore throat, cough, nasal congestion, localized pain, etc.);
- To obtain or renew prescriptions (oral contraceptives, asthma medication, etc.).
Healthcare professionals at your service
In order to best respond to everyone's minor emergencies, our team includes nurse practitioners and super nurses who are capable of performing a variety of procedures. During triage (upon your arrival at the clinic), you may be referred to these healthcare professionals, who can, if necessary, count on the support of our doctors.
This means that a variety of problems can be assessed and several medical procedures (diagnosis, tests, treatment prescriptions, minor surgical procedures) can be performed by a doctor or nurse during a consultation. However, please note that only one condition can be treated at a time. If you have multiple questions, we may suggest another type of follow-up (family medicine, health check-up, etc.).
