Dr Jean-François Caron

Dr. Jean-François Caron

Founding President of
the Humani Clinic

After studying and beginning his career in pharmacy, Dr. Jean-François Caron shifted his focus to general medicine. He completed his studies at Laval University's Faculty of Medicine in 2005, after which he practiced for four years at the Groupe de médecine familiale (GMF) de Lavaltrie. In addition to a constant desire to provide the best care for each patient, he has developed skills in cosmetic medicine and dermatology throughout his practice. He also enjoys working with seniors, with whom he has a good rapport.

In order to put his passion to work for the people of Rosemère, Laval, and the surrounding area, he founded the Clinique médiale Humani and the Complexe médical Réjane-Durand in 2013, the latter named in honor of his mother. These businesses allow him to fulfill his dream of developing close relationships with his loyal patients while sharing his expertise and passion with a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified professionals. In addition to his rewarding career, he enjoys discovering new countries and listening to other people's travel stories.

Dre Jannick Nicolet

Dr. Jannick Nicolet

Doctor, General Medicine

A 1987 graduate of McGill University's Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Jannick Nicolet completed her family medicine training at St. Mary's Affiliated Hospital. Over the next 20 years, she practiced in a variety of settings (CHSLD, CLSC) and held a position as Assistant Professor of Medicine at McGill University. Her duties included supervising doctors in training. This allowed her to develop her versatility, listening skills, and comprehensive approach to health. In 2007, she returned to private practice, where she can spend more time with her patients and provide care that is truly focused on their needs.

In keeping with her vision of health, Dr. Nicolet believes in the importance of a comprehensive approach to each problem. She has a particular interest in mental health, women's health, and preventive medicine. She has also developed her practice as a corporate medical consultant, which includes pre-employment examinations and health assessments for executives.

Dre Marilou Legris-Sylvestre

Dr. Marilou Legris-Sylvestre

Doctor, General Medicine

A graduate of Laval University, Dr. Legris-Sylvestre completed her university training in family medicine in 2018. She previously studied psychology at the University of Montreal and chiropractic at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières. These studies allowed her to develop expertise in musculoskeletal medicine and a sensitive and empathetic approach to general medicine. After two years practicing as an emergency physician and family doctor in Mauricie–Centre-du-Québec, she recently shifted her career to private practice. She sees this as an opportunity to spend quality time with her patients and apply a holistic approach to health that takes into account a range of factors and determinants.

A member of the Humani family since November 2020, she is happy to put her passion for musculoskeletal medicine, women's health, and minor surgery to work for the people of Rosemère and the surrounding area.

Dr André Forget

Dr. André Forget

Doctor, General Medicine

I have been a general practitioner for 48 years.

I was a military doctor from 1974 to 1977.

Then I worked in a practice at the Laval Health Polyclinic from 1977 to 1987. I was a solo family doctor from 1987 to 2021. At the same time, I practiced at the Cité de la Santé hospital, first in the emergency room and then in the inpatient ward for over 20 years.

Being over 70 years old, the pandemic greatly reduced my in-person practice, and I had to close my office at the end of 2021. After a few months' break, I decided to join the Humani Clinic team to offer my services on an ad hoc basis.

Over time, I have gained experience in outpatient geriatrics, but I am still interested in all fields of medicine.

Dre Louise Patry

She began her career working in a CLSC, then joined a family medicine group in Laval and Terrebonne, and also practiced for several years with the medical team in the geriatric department of the Cité de la Santé hospital in Laval.

She is known for being a good listener, empathetic, professional, and committed to providing her patients with quality care. In 2023, after more than 30 years of dedicated service to her loyal patients, Dr. Patry left the GMF-R at the Ste Dorothée medical clinic to enter semi-retirement. In 2024, Dr. Patry joined the Humani medical team to offer medicine focused primarily on the overall health of patients of all ages, whether for one-time visits or follow-ups, adults or children, minor emergencies, pre-employment, preventive medicine, or CSST.

Dr. Patry remains as passionate as ever about her profession.
