Éric Hurteau
Psychologist
Éric Hurteau has been a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec since 1994, when he obtained his master's degree in clinical psychology from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Since then, he has worked in the health networks of Ontario and Quebec, where he has held various positions [clinical psychologist, counselor, project manager, manager, etc.]. He has also worked in the corporate sector, specifically in the rehabilitation of people on sick leave.
These experiences have allowed him to develop expertise in a variety of areas: anxiety and mood disorders; relationship difficulties (separation/divorce, marital or family tensions, difficulties at work, conflicts); grief and illness management; work-related issues [harassment, sick leave]; consequences of traumatic experiences [acute stress, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.].
In his clinical practice, he primarily uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, schema-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Regardless of his therapeutic approach, he uses clear and vivid language and demonstrates tact and respect. His goal is to best meet the needs of his adult clients!
